On January 14th, Claire-Frances will be presenting and playing the role of "Cog" in a virtual reading of the first act of Impossible Green, an original musical with book and lyrics by her and music by Sequoia Sellinger. On January 30th, Claire-Frances will be playing the role of "Bridget" in a virtual reading of a new musical titled Undecided, written by Stephanie Carlin and directed by Raquel Loving.
She continues her second year in the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop and teaching music with MMC (see below) and is having a wonderful time!

This fall, Claire-Frances will continue teaching private voice, piano, guitar, and songwriting lessons with the Musical Mentors Collaborative as an extension of her teaching fellowship. She'll also be leading a workshop for MMC's "Songwriting for Change" program in partnership with the Ali Forney Center and Lantern Community Services as she continues working to broaden access to music education to youth from deserving communities.
Through the fall and winter, Claire-Frances and her collaborator Sequoia Sellinger will be developing their new musical, Impossible Green, on commission with the York Theatre Company and their winter MTTP students. The new musical will be specifically developed for and over virtual platforms and will be presented in January.
Claire-Frances has also begun her second year as a lyricist in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Writing Program where she'll be adapting two projects into musicals with two different collaborators, Alex Petti and Teddy Poll. In October, she'll be developing her play, Supermassive, with Midland Center's Masterclass Series.

Claire-Frances is spending her time protesting, donating, and contacting her representatives in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. She believes in demilitarizing, defunding, and abolishing the police and urges you to donate to the Black Trans Women Homeless Fund, Justice for Breonna Taylor Memorial Fund, The Okra Project, The Black Feminist Project, and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.
Because of their participation in the "Songwriters in Mufti" competition with the York Theatre Company, Claire-Frances and her collaborator Sequoia Sellinger have been asked to team up with the York to develop their song "Where I Wanna End Up" with their Education Team and their summer musical theatre program. They'll be workshopping the song with the York Theatre Company's talented students and filming a short documentary about the process.
Meanwhile, Claire-Frances is helping develop a new original musical titled Flowers on the Moon, by Roy Sirengo. She's contributing vocals to demos for the show and helping with the musical development of the piece.

Claire-Frances and her collaborator Sequoia Sellinger wrote a song in under five days as a part of the York Theatre Company's "Songwriting in Mufti" competition. Their song took third place, check it out below!
Claire-Frances has just received a teaching fellowship with the Musical Mentors Collaborative, an initiative to bring free music lessons to youth in New York State. With mentors like Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron, Claire-Frances will be teaching voice, beginning piano, beginning guitar, and songwriting to middle school students via Zoom.
Claire-Frances will be participating in The WorkShop Theater's Spring Intensive, where she'll be developing her play, Supermassive, in a writer's group facilitated by the theatre.
